Arctic Air aim to make our services as straightforward as possible by following these stages in every project:

Quote

From information in your enquiry we will calculate the size and type of system required as well as the timescale required. You also get an estimate of the energy performance of the system to help you make a well-informed choice.

Design

Once we have agreed on the project, the design of the system can then be carried out in our office by a qualified engineer using up-to-date computer software. This stage is carried out in accordance with Arctic Air standard practice taking into account the relevant regulatory requirements including Building Regulations Part L, F and G, to produce a System Layout Drawing.

Supply

Arctic Air purchases the necessary equipment for the project from our approved suppliers and gets them delivered straight to the project site.

Install

We begin installing the system with a first fix including pressure testing, wiring in controls, assessing the pipework and fitting underfloor pipes and manifolds if required. In the case of screed and floor insulation, these are done at first fix in the logical order of the layers. The second fix involves installing the heat pump or solar collectors and ancillary equipment.

Commission

The system functions are certified and required settings are programmed at this stage. We also make sure that the system has no leaks and air locks.

Hand over

We explain to you how to operate the system and make sure that as a minimum, you are able to turn the equipment on and off and set the heating and hot water temperatures using the controls yourself. You also receive a client documentation pack detailing the system parameters, commissioning certificates and operation manuals.

Service

Arctic Air maintains systems that need regular servicing in accordance with our Service and Warranty Schedule. We also provide clients with advice on how simple maintenance can keep the system running for longer.

Decommission

This is carried out at the end of the equipment lifetime in accordance with manufacturers’ recommendations and current environmental and legislative requirements.
